What’s New: West Boundary Community Forest – Annual Public Information Meeting

The West Boundary Community Forest is holding their annual Public Information Meeting at the Midway Community Hall on Tuesday, December 10th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The West Boundary Community Forest is a local Corporation owned by the City of Greenwood and the Village of Midway. The Corporation has a licence to manage local forest land for the benefit of the communities in the West Boundary area.

The basic premise of a Community Forest is that it is a forest that is managed by the local people for the benefit of the people.  All profits go back into the local shareholder communities and local organizations.  Our annual public meeting gives the people a chance to meet the Board of Directors, the Shareholders and the Managers of the Community Forest.  It is also an opportunity for the public to be fully informed on what we are doing.  People can ask questions and also provide any input and ideas on how they would like to see how their local forest is being managed.

We encourage you to come on out and find out just what your Community Forest is all about.   Hope to see you there.
